First they did giggs and they gave out cds. this was until fans posted it on my space making them famous.

This was unexpected as a fan who really enjoyed there music posted it themselvces so it was a shock.

The difference is black pink got signed so the company did everything for them however artic monkeys are 100% solo and independent.

4) Who is Arctic Monkeys record label and how many copies did they sell of their debut album? Why did they choose an independent record label?

Arctic monkeys were signed by Dominos and sold 450k. They wanted to be solo so they can give fans what they want and not what there told to do.

5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?

The internet has been positive for artists as they can publish there music to the world with a few clicks however its bad for companies as artists can be fully independent with no troubles quite easily.
